About Us
Dart Raffe Farm has a rich history dating back to Domesday, originally called Derta or Derte. Given by William the Conqueror to William de Poilley, with tenant Ralph giving the farm its name. The farmhouse served as a monastery and was involved in Civil War battles. Features a 500-year-old cob and stone barn that was once a tithe barn. The farm experienced a serious fire in 1935 and foot and mouth culls in 2001. Now a working mixed farm with environmental schemes including wildflower meadow restoration and moorland recreation.
